Yes, Prince was great Friday night, but that performance just didn't reach the heights of Monday's at The Garden. Must've been the age of the crowd in NJ that did it. There were a lot of young 'uns. Moreso than the "I saw Prince back in the lingerie days" audience at MSG. NJ: There were few massive gtr solos a la those on Shhh and Question Of You a week ago. Less of the loose, lost-in-space and more of the showbiz Prince. Which is still a fine deal.

The One was a ridiculously great song both shows. I need to reassess that ditty.
